God Loves A Cheerful Giver
To Give. The Random House Dictionary defines giving as: “To present voluntarily” and “to place in someone’s care”. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 9, Verses 6 and 7: “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
The world likes to say ‘give and take’, but the word -take- produces images of theft, entitlement, and selfishness. If we all simply chose to present to others, all of us, all of the time…we would all also constantly be receiving.
Charles Dickens once said, “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
Building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with our church members, or with any of our friends in ministry doesn’t require your gifts of support, but all of us are enriched when all of us build and grow and share together.
Do not feel compelled to give, but if you do choose to do so, you are more than welcome to do so here!
